Our courtshipboard Flap is an inconspicuous wall shelf with a secret compartment in which the fittings are concealed, giving the shelf the appearance of floating freely. Here we have developed a unique security system in which the secret compartment flap opens downwards as if by magic and which can be equipped with four different locking systems.

Our Balzblock is the right partner for the inconspicuous and secure storage of larger valuables or, thanks to push-to-open equipment, simply as clever functional design furniture. There is a lot of technical know-how and craftsmanship in the chest with a secret compartment. The secret compartment can be reached via the front-opening body and can be equipped with five different locking systems.

Balzblock- safe/gun cabinet*
Our Balzblock with an integrated safe/gun cabinet offers even more security. The Balzblock is a beautiful and practical furniture chest with a secret compartment and also equipped with a safe/weapons cabinet. Thanks to the double security provided by the furniture with an integrated locking system and the safe, you can rely on your Balzblock leave. The integrated safes of the Balzblocks are all ECB-S certified and have resistance level 1. The safe can be accessed via the front-opening body and can be equipped with five different locking systems.

Balzsafe – safe*
All Balzsafe safes are VDS certified, available in 4 resistance levels and are fire-retardant.
Certification: resistance grade 1- 4 according to EN 1143-1 VDS
Usage: safe, gun cabinet, ammunition cabinet, key safe, document cabinet

The safes can be equipped with different locking mechanisms.
Depending on the safe, options are a key lock, a mechanical combination lock or an electronic combination lock.
With resistance level 4, 2 locking mechanisms are installed to increase security.

This is how we can enable our customers to BALZWERK® To integrate furniture with a secret compartment and various individual solutions with and without a safe/gun cabinet into the existing facility.
Professional advice including planning and development together with our designers, also on site, realize the wishes and needs of our customers.
By means of visualization, we can adapt the planning to the respective living space of our customers. Whether it's a panic room, a hidden safe/gun cabinet, a piece of furniture with a secret compartment or a beautiful design piece of furniture– a great pleasure for us, because the development and cooperation with our customers is our passion.

Emergency unlocking is not possible if the products are improperly maintained.
In case of disregard, the product cannot be opened without violence.

MAGNETIC LOCK
The magnetic lock, which is installed as standard in our furniture, can be easily opened with the associated magnet. This lock is a purely mechanical lock that does not require a battery change.

RFID TRANSPONDER LOCK*
The RFID transponder lock replaces the standard integrated locking mechanism and enables identification via transponder card. The lock is opened with a transponder card that is held against the piece of furniture. This lock uses 125 kHz technology. Up to 49 transponder cards can be programmed into the lock.

MIFARE RFID LOCK*
The MIFARE RFID lock replaces the standard integrated locking mechanism and enables identification via MIFARE transponder card. MIFARE technology works in the high-frequency range of 13.56 MHz, which results in higher encryption security and faster data transmission. To open the lock, the transponder card is held against the piece of furniture. Up to 49 transponder cards can be programmed into the lock.

BLUETOOTH LOCK*
The Bluetooth lock replaces the standard integrated locking mechanism and enables identification via smartphone (Bluetooth).
The lock can be opened via the app without a mobile network and internet connection. The free app for programming and management is installed via Google Play or the Apple Store.
The reading range of the lock is about 8 meters depending on the room layout.

PUSH-TO-OPEN (only with Balzblock or on request)
The Push-to-Open version replaces the standard integrated locking mechanism and allows you to open your piece of furniture simply by pressing.
With this locking variant, no additional security mechanism is integrated into your piece of furniture. 

Safe locking mechanisms resistance grade 1-3:
KEY LOCK
The lock is a highly secure, mechanical double-bit lock. Each component of the lock is precisely adapted to the key - so improper opening attempts remain unsuccessful.
2 keys are included in delivery.

MECHANICAL CODE LOCK
The mechanical combination lock (MZK) can be selected as an option and replaces the standard key lock.
To open the lock, an individual 4-digit number combination is entered using the number wheel. The lock does not require batteries.

ELECTRONIC COMBINATION LOCK*
The electronic combination lock (EZK) can be selected as an option and replaces the standard key lock. The high-quality electronic combination lock is opened via freely programmable user codes. Different users can be programmed with personal codes on the lock. The electronic lock has the option of triggering a silent alarm (burglar alarm system is required, not included). The lock runs on batteries and has a hidden emergency opening using an inspection key.

Safe locking mechanisms resistance grade 4:
KEY LOCK + MECHANICAL COMBINATION LOCK
The standard equipment for resistance level 4 is the combination of key lock and mechanical combination lock (MZK). The keyhole is a highly secure, mechanical double-bitted lock. To open the combination lock, an individual 4-digit number combination is entered using the number wheel. This lock combination is completely mechanical and requires no batteries. The scope of delivery includes 2 keys for the key lock.

KEY LOCK + ELECTRONIC COMBINATION LOCK*
The combination of key lock with electric combination lock (EZK) can be selected as an option and replaces the standard lock combination. The keyhole is a highly secure, mechanical double-bitted lock. The high-quality, electric combination lock is opened via freely programmable user codes, and different users can be programmed into the lock with personal codes. The electronic lock has the option of triggering a silent alarm (burglar alarm system is required, not included). The lock runs on batteries and has a hidden emergency opening using an inspection key.

TWO ELECTRIC COMBINATION LOCKS*
Instead of the key lock, the variant with two electric combination locks can optionally be selected, in which case a key is no longer required for opening. Both locks are opened with freely programmable user codes. The locks are battery operated and have a hidden emergency opening using an inspection key.

*Battery-operated locks made in Austria, battery lasts for up to 15.000-20.000 openings depending on the frequency of use. We recommend changing the battery after 1 year, you can easily do it yourself.
Electronic locks always require proper maintenance, functional testing including checking the battery charge level. The electronic locks cannot be unlocked in an emergency.

All Balzsafe safes are VDS certified, available in 4 resistance levels and are fire-retardant.

Please note that the surfaces can be damaged if they are used improperly or treated improperly. Remember that this is yours BALZWERK® Manufactory product is a combination of carpentry and technical know-how and the construction is designed down to the smallest detail to the specified values. Wood is a living natural product that works and is constantly changing, so the grain and texture of the wood may differ from the picture. 

In order to maintain the appearance of the surface, the right care is required, which can vary depending on the surface. Here we explain how to properly care for our surfaces and what to look out for with the different wooden surfaces. We recommend using a solvent-free furniture polish once or twice a year to keep the furniture looking shiny. High-gloss solvents or polishes/cleaners containing alcohol must not be used, as these can attack the surfaces and leave a rough and matt impression. Color changes over time cannot be completely ruled out, since the oiled, waxed, stained, as well as the painted surfaces can react to various environmental conditions such as UV radiation. Please do not use microfiber cloths, as these can cause fine scratches and over time "strip" the care layer on the wood and paintwork. We recommend a lint-free cotton cloth. Do not use steam cleaners as this will cause swelling and eventually destroy the furniture. In order to avoid edges and stains, neither water nor damp objects should stand on the surfaces for a long time. 

care instructions BALZWERK® Surfaces Naturally treated BALZWERK® pieces of furniture
The purpose of a surface treated with oil/wax/stain is to preserve the natural texture of the wood. In this way, it can continue to breathe because the pores are not closed - so the overall appearance comes into its own with this treatment. A special color tone is created in which the structure of the wood is particularly visible. Always expose your wooden furniture to light evenly. An object that is always in the same place prevents the wood from darkening. Avoid exposing oiled furniture to direct sunlight or heat sources as this can damage the finish.

Care
A wet or damp cloth must not be used on oiled, waxed or stained surfaces. Because the water displaces the wood finish in the pores, the structure of the wood can be permanently damaged. A dry cloth is used to remove minor dirt or impurities. This cloth must be lint-free, otherwise the lint can stick to the piece of furniture and be deposited. To dem BALZWERK® furniture to regain its former glory, the surface is first cleaned of dust and dirt. After that, a suitable furniture oil care product should only be used sparingly and should also be applied thinly with a cloth in the direction of the grain. No solvents or polishes/cleaners containing alcohol may be used, as these will attack the surface. 

Lacquered BALZWERK® pieces of furniture
With painted surfaces, the pores of the wood remain permanently closed. In this way, it is better protected against dirt and the piece of furniture is therefore much easier to care for than a piece of furniture with a naturally treated surface. Never stick on self-adhesive film or adhesive strips, as the solvent residues and plasticizers they contain can destroy the paintwork on your furniture. Lacquered furniture should not be exposed to direct sunlight as this can cause the lacquer to fade or crack. The piece of furniture should also not be exposed to extreme temperatures, as this can damage the paint. 

Care
The surface can easily be cleaned of dirt, dust and other impurities with a slightly damp cloth. With lacquered furniture, care should be taken to use a fine cotton cloth (no fiber or dust cloth) to avoid unnecessary scratches or unsightly streaks. No solvents or polishes/cleaners containing alcohol may be used, as these will attack the surface.

We ship with our partner DHL and selected forwarding agents, as well as our own delivery and assembly team, which have been tested and meet all safety standards.
Deliveries to other countries may incur duties, taxes and fees that are not included in the total price displayed.

Please note that every wall is different, so we cannot guarantee that the dowels and fastening screws provided will be XNUMX% durable. However, suitable dowels and fastening screws suitable for your wall surface can be purchased from specialist retailers at any time and the installation can be carried out with these. The condition of the wall and the load-bearing capacity of the wall for installation must be given. It must be ensured that there are no cables of any kind at the mounting location.
The transport route must be designed for the weight and size of the product and there must be no goods on the transport route so that smooth delivery to the destination can take place.
Please note that all safes must be anchored with heavy-duty dowels using so-called push-through anchors. The wall must have a pull-out resistance of at least 50 kN (=kiloNewton). If the wall conditions do not correspond to this value, professional anchoring cannot take place. Our experience shows that if the entire safe is stolen and removed, the first thing to do is to look for weak points in terms of the concrete quality of the anchoring area, since inferior anchoring areas result in liability consequences, which we would like to point out. For these reasons, we ask for your understanding that we expressly exclude liability for the condition and special characteristics of your anchoring environment. We cannot accept any liability for consequential damage, property damage or financial loss resulting from such properties. This exclusion of liability applies equally to any damage to supply lines such as gas, water, electricity and antenna lines and other impairments or damage for which our company is not responsible. We are subject to the legal requirements of our safe classification test center ESSA, as our safes are ECB-S certified.

Battery Disposal Instructions

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of products containing batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return old batteries that we have or have had in our range as new batteries to our shipping warehouse (shipping address) free of charge. The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

• The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
• Pb = battery contains more than 0,004 mass percent lead
• Cd = battery contains more than 0,002 mass percent cadmium
• Hg = battery contains more than 0,0005 percent by mass of mercury.
